Lovely socks. I like the color combination--I think of it as just slightly retro and very cute. I'm still not entirely comfortable with tiny sock needles. I'm amazed when people do color work with them!

Those socks are really cool, but I don't know if I can actually stand to knit them. The Middlebury cardigan looks good, can't wait to see it finishd with buttons.

I'm looking forward to hearing of your good news!

I'm so glad :) It will be exciting to see your Middlebury cardigan all finished up. I loved the buttons from the last post. One of them is sure to be perfect. And I love those socks, they look like such a fun knit!!

Fabulous use of color and pattern on those socks. They're gorgeous. Your feet will just power up when you have them on! I too am returning to my project list now that my custom two-way zipper is here (for the fuzzy green seamless-yoke sweater that I intend to use center front steeks with, so I can turn it into a zip cardigan at the end). While getting ready to swatch that green project, I Succumbed yesterday and purchased lapis colored yarn to remake the Oregon Vest I ruined earlier this year by inadvertently felting it in the washer with regular laundry so it fit Mickey Mouse. Evidently the mourning period for the debacle is over. Besides, I missed that vest when I was hiking on Monday and got a little lost. I would have been toasty with it layered on. Fall is here and it's time to move on. :-)

Those socks are so neat! I've been meaning to work on my standed knitting, that project might be just the thing.
