You should give them to me because:

1. I actually like the color combination
2. I also wear an 8.5, the felting will be easy
3. You won't have to pay shipping, you can send them to work with David

Please send them to ME, where they will find a lovely place to live out their days in kraftygirl's home for wayward, lost and unloved knitting. They will feel right at home next to the 6 foot long Moebius scarf. I will wear them every morning! I will love them and kiss them and name them George!

Ruth's slippers are a hoot!
I think they're really cute!
Asymmetry
Is really "me."
Will I win the loot?

Kathleen LOL

P.S. I love the Red Herring socks. They are inspiring me to learn to knit with two colors.

There's no way in the world I could compete with Desiknitter's witty verse ;)

But I did show these to Tad and proceeded down a one-sided "Those slippers are so ugly..." "How ugly are they?!" rant - note though, that he asked me to make him a pair!! :)

I am not a "shoe person." I own the obligatory black dress-up shoes (for formal events and job interviews) and a well-loved pair of hiking boots (these suckers are fourteen years old and fit perfectly!), but my day-to-day footwear consists of three pairs of shoes: one pair of purple/magenta clogs with wooden soles, one pair of orange suede slides, and one pair of purple fleece slippers. (My philosophy with footwear is "Rather than have lots of shoes that match only one or two outfits each, have just a few pairs of shoes that don't match any of my clothes." Makes getting dressed much simpler!) The fleece slippers, alas, have been disintegrating for some time and will put out of their misery as soon as I acquire replacements.

As you can see, your "ugly" slippers would be right at home in my household and would fit right in on my shoe rack. I'd be delighted to wear them!

Today's post nailed it - I was intimidated by desiknitters lovely verse. I won't even try to compete, but I will tell you that your original orange clogs are what inspired me to try my hand at making them for my son. All I have left to do is attach the second sole to clog #2, seem it up, and then felt them both. I'm excited to see how they turn out.

I love your blog and have lurked in the dark up until this post. I would be honored to wear your clogs.
